Quality time with the short people! I picked up Jack at Caroline at lunch time on Saturday for some fun and surprises with Auntie Martta! We went to Mandola's in the Triagle for some pizza which they both managed to eat. Then off to our surprise - painting pottery! Jack immediately picked out a dog to paint while Caroline surveyed the lot - passing up princesses, fairies, and castles - to choose a plate. Yes, a plate. I will admit that it did have scalloped edges. Caroline called it a flower plate. After some quick paint selection, it was off to the races. Jack was very dedicated to the task but Caroline didn't quiet get it. She caught up and managed to cover her whole plate.

Then off to Central Market for some cookie treats! The cookie selection at Central Market was TRAGIC. Honestly. I ended up getting an entire box of these cookies just so we could have something good. Caroline wisely went with the largest cookie while Jack was fascinated with the smaller star shape. Loads of running around to burn off all those extra calories and one minor lost child incident later, Auntie Martta was ready to head home! A great time!
